Stewards Files Complaint Regarding Ignoring Our Objections

Last week Stewards of the Sequoia filed a formal complaint with the Forest Service regarding their failure to discuss and resolve our written objections to their revised Forest Plan.

During the 10-year  planning process the Forest Service has not responded or addressed many of our substantive comments regarding their draft plan violating law, policy and regulation. They refused to rebalance the Recreation Opportunity Spectrum by restoring 43,000 acres of motorized recreation area, and created a PCT Management Area when a Forest Plan is not supposed to be trail specific or affect travel management.

Unless we prevail, these issues could have a severe negative impact on motorized and mechanized recreation in Sequoia National Forest for decades to come, including the closure of many popular existing multiple use trails.

Since they did not address our comments we filed a 42-page objection last year restating our prior comments. They ignored them and are now attempting to steamroll recreation interests by claiming that their letter of response to objections is the final decision.

Yet, since the Forest Service did not respond to our specific objections, they have not completed the process and cannot have issued a final decision.

Stewards have teamed up with other organizations such as Cal4WD whose objections have also not been addressed in the revised Forest Plan. You can read Stewards complaint HERE.

Easy Clean Up BRAAPOL Air Filter Oil For Free

No two ways about it, cleaning foam air filters is one nasty job. There is an easy alternative.

Introducing BRAAPOL, a foam air filter treatment which is both viscous and extremely tacky to trap dirt and dust, yet easy and quick to clean with just soap and water. An easier to clean air filter means you can clean it more often to ensure better filtration and better engine protection. You can read more about BRAAPOL HERE.

BRAAPOL creator Motochem wants to encourage more riders to donate to Stewards of the Sequoia to help keep your Sequoia trails open. Donate $100 or more to Stewards of the Sequoia and receive a free bottle of BRAAPOL (while supplies last). Help your trails while helping your moto.

Your help is needed on the great Keyesville trails

The Keyesville trails are in need of some TLC. Some riders have been going off trail so shortcuts need to be blocked, as well as refreshing water bars and repairing ruts. Some of this work needs to be done while the ground is still damp from our recent rains. Please respond to this email if you can help and let us know what date is good for you.
