- GOOD AFTERNOON to all the volunteer OHV club members, individual OHV volunteers and Forest Service staff receiving this email. It IS that time of year once again that each of the Districts on the Los Padres National Forest are working together to prepare the G-25 OHV Ground Operations Grant Applications for the CY 2026 Performance Period. This application will cover staff(including volunteer time), material/supplies, various types of contracts, equipment use-expenses-and-proposed-purchases-of-additional-equipment-items needed to maintain and/or repair the OHV Trail and/or applicable Access Roads systems leading to them on the Forest. You are invited to attend the open house meeting(s) that are planned for next week discussed below, and in both attachments above, to view the draft grant application and trail system maps. You will have an opportunity to provide comments and/or other input during the application process either during the meeting or by going to the website provided in the second document above. Please forward this information on to other members of your club(s) or anyone that might be interested in attending either meeting. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting. - The Los Padres National Forest is providing two opportunities at two different locations for interested parties to discuss and provide input into the development of the 2026 Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) grant applications. Please see the attached flyer and news release for more details.
- The first OHV public open house will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Chuchupate Ranger Station located at 34580 Lockwood Valley Road in Frazier Park, CA 93225. The second OHV public open house will be held Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Santa Lucia Ranger Station located at 1616 Carlotti Dr, Santa Maria, CA 93454.
