The Montana is alright but I’m not a big fan of the touch screens for off-road. You have to wipe the dust off and then it gets scratched and menus move..... Does anyone out there have a Montana, how does the screen work in the sunlight? I have an Oregon (touch screen) and it works alright but is hard to see in the sunlight. I still like theGarmin 78 with a little smaller screen but buttons and glass screen to wipe off.
It’s important to get the NMEA 0183 compatible connector (round 4 wire which Montana & 78 have, 60, 62 doesn’t) because hooking up the usb for power on a bike doesn’t work with the vibration.
