Hi Paul, Noah and I had a great time on Tinta today. We met a group of five on the trail who were also loving it, well most of them anyway.
There are 6 or 8 down trees on the trail but nothing we were not able to get over or around, Also a lot of rain ruts, some quite deep.
The brushing crew only made it a little over a mile down from the top but did a great job on it. Heavy brush still for a couple of miles below what was cut, some spots where the trail is hard to follow.

Phil,
Please let us know about conditions on Tinta from your ride. I remember the sidehill trails being really narrow and washed out in places.
With any luck, we'll be following your tracks tomorrow!
Thanks,
Paul

Paul, Noah and I are riding Tinta on Saturday. I am working both Sunday and Monday. You will have a great ride at Ballinger I am sure.
If anyone else wants to come, better hookup fast!
Enjoy the ride! Phil

Phil,
I'm going to go out on Sunday, and stay through Monday (We're sending my daughter back to college in Baltimore on Saturday). We'll be camping at the Songdog ranch, on Ballinger Canyon road (Jim Reveley there is an old friend--he makes Revpack motorcycle luggage).
I'm game for riding Tinta either on Sunday afternoon or Monday morning. Cell service is usually good on Ballinger Canyon road (but maybe not in the Ballinger campground). My boy Henry will want to come along, too--and I think I think he's up to it (maybe more than I am!).
Thanks,
Paul

I did not go yet, planning to go this Saturday with Noah, 33 if it opens or the long route if not. Maybe we can all go together?

Phil,
Did you get to ride Tinta? I may drive to Ballinger this weekend (the long way round, since Hwy 33 is closed), and I'm curious if it is rideable for me, an intermediate rider. I haven't been there in nearly 10 years.
Thanks,
Paul

I am going to ride Tinta tomorrow and would like to have someone go along if anyone is interested. LPFA has done some brushing work on Tinta and I want to go and see what they accomplished.
