Let me know if you have already signed up using the Stewards of the Sequoia link but will be working with us so that I can add you to my list.
First Aid/CPR classes are scheduled for Jan 26 at the Ojai Ranger Station and Feb. 9 at the Mount Pinos Ranger Station. These classes are being offered at no cost to volunteers who will be helping with OHV trail & road clearing work in our National Forest.
A current First Aid/CPR card is a prerequisite to taking the Chainsaw certification class. Also if you have a current Chainsaw cert. a current First Aid/CPR card is required for the saw cert. to be valid.
Class size is limited so let me know ASAP if you want to attend and which location/date so I can reserve you a spot.
Chainsaw certification classes will be held Feb. 22 & 23 and Feb. 29 & Mar. 1. Two day class is required for first time certification and One day (Sunday) for a re-cert.
Also let me know if you are interested in assisting the Sawyers with trail clearing as we need helpers also. Helpers are not required to have these certifications but it is still a good idea to attend if you have not already had this training.
